A Generation Xer's caregiving journey

One cannot put grief on a schedule & it’s OK

I happen to run across a post in my feedreader from an unusual place. Yet it spoke to me. As someone who lost their mother, there are times when I wish I can ask her a question.

In the post 100 things a woman should know, remember and pass on…  thing #7 jumped out at me.

7. GRIEVING can last a moment or a lifetime – it’s OK.

I needed to see this, especially this time of year when the holidays and memories start to creep in.

All I can do is remember the good times and not dwell in the past for too long.  After all, those that came before me would want me to be happy and life in the here and now.
