“Mad Men” era Radio Tuner beats out 80’s boombox

The decluttering continues.

Yesterday. I tested out a boombox my great-grandmother brought for us back in the 80’s.

The speakers were in a word, gone. The power was on, but we couldn’t hear anything.

I told  my grandmother that the boombox had to go. However, she did have another option.

My uncle installed a sound system with a phonograph (record player) and a radio tuner, back in the 60’s and the both still work.

It just goes to show that one never knows what a bit of decluttering can reveal.
