Someone is very upset that cursive writing is some state curriculums are gone in the way of history. ABC News recently had a story, The End of Cursive.
According to Gram, learning cursive writing is one of the core milestones of elementary school education. She still takes great pride in her writing. While I was in college, she sent a package every so often and I recognize her handwriting a mile away. So when she heard this , she was upset. “Why would they want to cut that out!!?” she exclaimed.
Despite being in the wired world 80% of the time, I think there are still times to use cursive writing other than signing a document. For instance, I still need to write thank you cards for someone’s milestone birthday.
Do you still use cursive writing? If so when?
