This is what my Mama (my great grandmother) used to say to each and everyone of us young ‘uns when we were babies and toddlers waking up to a new day.
Mama knew the importance of taking time out in the morning for oneself, before starting off the day. Even if this means us being in our beds/cribs for an extra 15 minutes or so.
Now I find myself telling people “Not until I’ve had my coffee!”
Now with working and caregiving, it can be easy to forget about yourself.
