Beyond Avoidance #reverb10

December 20 – Beyond Avoidance What should you have done this year but didn’t because you were too scared, worried, unsure, busy or otherwise deterred from doing? (Bonus: Will you do it?) (Author: Jake Nickell)

Besides the whole driving issue, I’ve avoided taking care of myself. As caregivers, we are often the last to think about ourselves, no matter how many times we are told as we are always focused on our elders.

Nobody likes to think about going to the dentist. If I go to the dentist, it will cost a lot to do the procedure they are recommending and financially I can’t handle it.

I’ve even avoided going to the salon until I got a gift certificate and it cost me my hair because I couldn’t afford the costly touch up.
