A Generation Xer's caregiving journey

What my father taught me about lipstick

Recently, it was National Lipstick Day.

I was young and I wanted a tube of lipgloss.  My father told me that I didn’t need it because I was already beautiful.

I know he said this because he didn’t want me to grow up so quickly.

This has always stayed in my heart. Maybe this is one of those reasons  that I don’t feel the need to spend a lot on makeup.

“Inner beauty comes from within and not from a tube or jar or anything.”

This post wasn’t meant to be anti-beauty products, only to show that makeup doesn’t equal “instant beauty.”
