Always have a backup plan when dealing with Paratransit

Before Thanksgiving, I’d scheduled a pickup time for Nana so that she could spend time with the family. so we called paratransit.

We were outside waiting for the van before our assigned time, but no one came.

Turns out, the driver was on the wrong street.

I called the office and they told me that there was nothing I could do.

After having a nervous fit for about 5 minutes, we received a miracle.

A neighbor gave us a ride to an accessible subway station from which we travelled the whole way.

The lesson here, always carry cab fare. You never know when a situation like this will come up.
