A couple of days ago, I was frazzled. Work responsibilities, caregiving and getting ready for a hurricane was no fun. Normally, the TV serves as background noise, but something jumped out.
Instead of watching The View like I would do on any given down day due to repeats, I decided to flip the channel. I stopped on the Oprah channel. Tuesdays With Morrie was on, and it was like something told me to stop, breathe and listen.
I am not going to spoil it for those who haven’t viewed it or read the book.
A few lessons I learned, or rather that were re-instated are:
1. Be thankful for everyday.
2. Its never too late to reach out.
3. Be thankful for those before us that can impart their life wisdom.
This movie has made me gain a new appreciation for my current situation.
Have you seen the movie and/or read the book? What gems have you discovered about your parents and mentors that you have a new appreciation for?
