This is picking up from the post I wrote a few months back “Its never too late to deal with clutter.”
I stumbled upon a post from Uncluttered titled “Saying farewell to a family home” and it really hit home.
Cleaning out my mom’s apartment after she passed was one thing. But dealing with clearing the clutter with someone who is very much in the present is another thing.
Everyone has their own preferences, for me it would be tough to bring in a third party to help with the process. “Mama” doesn’t trust anyone. And it hard for me to convince her to trust others, even if I have faith in them.
Moving, decluttering, or estate management can be a trying process for all involved. With planning and understanding, and respect for all involved, the process can be managed.
