Yes, we know it has been a while since we posted. With the holidays and a turbulent January, we are finally starting to gain our footing again. Anyway, on with the post.
We went to the DMV to renew Gram’s non-drivers ID. All I had say was “senior non-driver ID renewal” as I was helping her along to walk (she can’t get around that well, but not bad enough for a wheelchair, thank goodness.) Did you know that the security guard put us to the front of the information line and we were able to get a wait number?
One person from the peanut gallery said “Maybe we’ll get a blessing!” out loud. I didn’t react because I was with Gram. I don’t know if she heard it or not. I had to maintain my composure, after all it wasn’t about me.
We got her number and we waited. I was hoping we didn’t have to walk so far to the next window. Most of the time, when we do these things, I stand on line and she sits until its her turn.
Afterwards, since the DMV is in the mall, we window-shopped and got some groceries and eventually went home.
